The San Luis offensive slump continued Wednesday at Cibola, as the Sidewinders left nine runners on base in a 5-1 loss to the Raiders, Cibola’s third win against San Luis this year — all in non-Gila Valley Region games.
The Raiders’ potent offense could not derail Crims pitcher Drew Chavez, who tossed seven innings of two-run ball to steer the Criminals to an 8-2 win in a Gila Valley Region contest at home.
Cibola’s first touchdown of the game didn't come until the second half, but the Raiders finished on top in a 29-14 win against the Lake Havasu Knights in their season opener.
