San Clemente runner earns All-American status

San Clemente's Sean Pino finished fourth in the 3,000-meter race of the Youth Boys Division at the 2010 USA Track & Field Junior Olympics in Sacramento.
The Stoneybrooke Christian Schools student qualified for the national meet by winning the Region 15 Junior Olympics in Las Vegas at the end of June by placing first in the 3,000 and second in the 1,500.
Three runners qualified from 15 different regions across the country for last month's National Junior Olympics.
Pino's finish earned him All-American honors, which is given to competitors who place in the top eight. There were 30 runners vying for the national title.
