Conductor assaulted aboard Metrolink train
Sheriff’s Department blotter reports from San Clemente
Sheriff's deputies in San Clemente received reports that a conductor was being assaulted on a Metrolink train heading to Fullerton. One person was detained in connection with the call.
The incident was reported at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday on the 600 block of Avenida Victoria.

TUESDAY
Citizen assist. Paseo Alba. A man kept calling the Sheriff's Department to report suspicious cars in his neighborhood, even though they were registered to his neighbors, officials said. 1:34 p.m.
Vandalism. 900 block Calle Amanecer. A man said someone threw a brick and paint at his truck. 9:53 a.m.
MONDAY
Suspicious person/circumstances. Camino de los Mares and Camino Vera Cruz. A man reportedly took bags out of a blue minivan, lit them on fire and put them in trash cans at Forster Ranch Community Park. 7:03 p.m.
Disturbance. El Camino Real and Mariposa. A woman reportedly hit a pregnant woman in a parking lot. 4:31 p.m.
Disturbance. 2300 block Calle Monte Cristo. A man said his son's girlfriend tried to run him over with her car. 3:04 p.m.
Vandalism. El Camino Real and Avenida Del Mar. Someone threw a bottle out of a white Ford Ranger and smashed a window on a parked car, a caller said. 2:09 p.m.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 300 block South El Camino Real. A Starbucks Coffee customer reportedly used the store's Wi-Fi to look at pornography on his laptop computer. 12:32 p.m.
Suspicious person/circumstances. Avenida Pico and El Camino Real. A woman was standing on the middle of the street, waving an umbrella and forcing motorists to drive around her, a caller said. 12:26 p.m.
Traffic hazard. Avenida Pico and Avenida Vista Hermosa. A caller complained about construction cones scattered on the middle of the road. 12:43 a.m.
SUNDAY
Disturbance. 900 block East Avenida Pico. A man "harassing" Circle K customers returned to the store, a caller said. Matthew Ryan Stones, 30, was arrested in connection with the call. Stones, who has convictions on drug, theft and public urination/defecation charges, was ordered jailed with bail set at $20,000. 7:21 p.m.
Disturbance. Calle Portada and Portico del Sur. A woman said youths were throwing toilet paper and fruit at passing motorists. 7:20 p.m.
